Pan-Orthodox Young Adult Retreat in British Columbia

VANCOUVER, BC [Archdiocese of Canada] -- Registration is now open for an Orthodox Young Adult Retreat being held in Vancouver, BC on May 16-18, 2008. The title of the retreat is "'Pure and undefiled religion is this' -- maintaining purity and guarding against personal pollution in Orthodox spiritual life." The retreat is open to all Orthodox between the ages of 18 and 35 (the upper end of this range is negotiable) and will be lead by Father John Hainsworth of All Saints of Alaska Orthodox Church in Victoria, BC. Registration for the event is CDN$160.00, if full payment is received prior to March 1st, 2008. After March 1, 2008, the registration will be CDN$175.00. The registration fee includes two nights’ accommodation, four meals, access to all lectures and group discussions and a daytrip to Granville Island. Accommodations will be provided at the University of British Columbia, located in the middle of Pacific Spirit Park, close to beaches and the city centre.
