Talk 5: “Let’s Do Something About It” (1:30 PM)
Opening Song: Mirror Song (Live)

All weekend we spoke about the gifts we receive and the gifts we give. We said this is what stewardship is all about. A life of stewardship is characterized by three things. Write this down:

In the epistle of James, the writer says, "Faith without works is dead." We must believe in God and realize everything that He has done and is doing for us because He loves us. That means we have a responsibility to love the world He created and the people in it and that we want to use what He gave us to help others and glorify God.

Matt 10:28-33
28And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. 30But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Through Jesus the whole world is once again in a state where it (and that means us too!) can be brought up to such a perfect state, that we’ll actually be in the direct presence of God. We can be part of a whole world made new. If we see everything as a gift from God and try to use it as He would want us to, to imitate His love for others, we will be real instruments of God, being a small part of the dawning of that new day of a world where death, pain and suffering have no power. Only Love and Joy.

Closing song: Everything Under the Sun (Extreme)
