Pittsburgh,
PA - Winners for the 2nd annual Celebration of Faith Contest
were announced at the FOCA's National Basketball Tournament in Pittsburgh,
PA. This Contest is held in support of the Orthodox Church of America's
Church-wide Youth Movement. The theme for the 2004 year, "Let
Your Light So Shine", was chosen by the Holy Synod. All youth
who are communicants in a parish or mission of a canonical Orthodox
Church in North America were encouraged to participate.
Entries
were displayed at the National Basketball Tournament in Pittsburgh
where over 400 Youth and Adults were gathered in May. They will also
be displayed at the National FOCA Convention in New York in July.

a $100 Savings Bond from the FOCA.
Next
year the Celebration of Faith contest will begin with the Church calendar
year in September. The theme chosen by the Holy Synod for the 2004-05
year will be "Champions of Faith".
